MicroSim provides self-directed learning through the simulation of realistic patient scenarios. It is a computer program that simulates medical emergencies and procedures to help learners develop decision-making and critical thinking skills. Together with team training in scenarios, MicroSim is a resource-efficient way for learners to practice virtual patient cases that ready them for the real world. MicroSim InhospitalMicroSim Inhospital is designed for use by all healthcare professionals, especially for physicians, nurses, physicians assistants, and medical residents. MicroSim Inhospital version is Guidelines 2005 compliant. MicroSim MilitaryMicroSim Military was developed in close coorporation with the US Army. The scenarios are in the combat zone, emergency stations and in MEDEVACs. The learner has access to most of the tools and drugs that are available in these settings. MicroSim can solve educational and economic needs for medical training in the military. |
